Basilica of St Peter and Vatican Museum






Our day we first went to Castle St. Angel, another one of romes good sites to visit inside the castle there were these marble balls used to deter invadors each weighing approx 20 kg each used like cannon balls mosaic paintings and armoury interesting place quite enjoyable then of to basilica st peter amazingly beautiful we went to the top up to the dome just pretty paintings and mosaics then to the base of the church beautiful statues paintings and mosaic all over the place then of to the vatican museum where the sistine chapel is housed and we saw at least 30 rooms covered with painting from floor to and including the ceilings the whole place left you gob smacked just quality art everywhere it was a pleasure to have visited these places our minds were confused with all that beauty another excellent day in rome.
