Our trip to Florence the city of Art

Nos ja estamos em Florence depois de outra excelente viagem de trem. Chegando no hotel que escolhi pela internet, alias estamos tendo muita sorte - nao e nenhum 5 estrelas mais muito confortavel os donos, um casal, muito simpatico e acolhedor e o mais interessante perto de todas as atracoes. Ele logo nos deu a dica da semana de la cultura - ou seja ja fomos a galeria de la Academia ver o original "David" de Michelangelo e no big museu Uffizi - tudo de graca, que maravilha, estamos adorando esta semana de la cultura que alias acaba hoje. Neste dois dias ja curtimos bastante a cidade e a ponte vecchio, a unica que sobrou intacta da II guerra mundial. E tambem como Veneza um monte de turistas e lojas.

We are in Florence now after another excellent train trip from Venice. Our hotel is quaint and very comfortable. We are very lucky because this week in Italy it is culture week, free entry to all museum and galleries. We saw the original "David" (which nearly spoke to us) by Michelangelo which is in the Gallery de la Academie and the copy in the piazza de la senoria and the bronze statue of David in the piazza Michelangelo. We went to Uffizi Museum where we saw some paintings by Leonardo da Vince, Botticelli, Fra Angelico and Caravaggio. We have eaten a lot of pastas and walked a lot around the city. The city flows with art. It has a beautiful bridge called Ponte Vecchio, the only bridge left intact after world war II.
