from London to Dublin

When we tried to leave London we had problems. The Piccadilly Circus tube was closed and the traffic was at a stand still. We found out later that their were two cars with bombs parked in the area where we were staying, it was difficult to leave London..
We got to the station on time and took the express line to Holyhead to catch the ferry to Ireland a four hour journey we saw allot of England's landscape lots of farms hills and the coast. It was very wet everywhere and very pretty and green. In Holyhead we took the ferry "Ulysses" its a big ferry where we had a three hour journey across the Irish Sea. It was very comfortable voyage - we played cards, had lunch and just relaxed getting ready for the next stage.
Dublin is a small city with a population of 1 million people, its a colourful city with the sounds of music. Its an amazing city. Our hostel is in the "temple bar" area where there are alot of pubs and restaurants playing live Irish music. This weekend the atmosphere was excellent there were people every where. You cannot smoke in any public place in Ireland since 2004. Peter so sad about this rule in the Pubs.
