Ljubljana

We had a good train travel to Ljubljana we passed through Croatia's capital Zagreb lots of passport stamps. Europe is a rail-lover's paradise. The best scenery we had seen in all our train travel was from Zagreb to Ljubljana. It's just awesome, shimmering lakes, plunging gorges, green mountains and beautiful river. It was so picturesque little back-country roads. In Ljubljana we decided to stay in a good hotel for 1 night, it was so relaxing. We loved Ljubljana, its a pretty little town and they already use the Euro. We walked around the city it has a beautiful canal similar to Amsterdam with houses and restaurant on either side. The old historic baroque square, so charming with a beautiful pink church.
We had a good surprise visiting Ljubljana. We liked the people and its atmosphere. In its square it has an over head sprinkler so cool - leading into the square there are three bridges along side each other one for cars and two for pedestrian traffic then we walked along the canal to the dragon bridge where there is a dragon on each of its 4 ends, very gothic. Quick stay but enjoyable.
