Wonderful Prague

I think because of the cheap "Airlingus" an Irish company we had to pay 8 euros per bag (not because weight) and pay for lunch on the plane. It was ok, we had a 2 hour flight from Dublin to Prague and arrived here early and 1 hour time difference from Dublin.
Our hostel is very comfortable and spacious - after checking we went to have dinner and walked in one of the most beautiful squares in Europe, "stare mesto". All the building surrounded the square are so wonderful. The square are so wonderful. There is the astronomical clock (1410) entertaining the crowds on the hour with a parade of apostles and a bell ringing skeleton. There is the twin gothic steeples of Tyn Church (1365) what is spectacular. Our first image of Prague was at 11pm so every thing was lit up.
We walked with our heads into the sky because all the old buildings have a different decoration above each entry way used as there address before street numbers were used.
Today we crossed the Vlatava River over the famous and elegant Charles Bridge graced by 30 statues dating from the 18th century and lined with jewellery stalls portrait artists and the odd jazz band and a puppeteer making the marionettes dance and play a guitar.
photos - all the photos here and above are of the "stare mesto" square.

I agree, Prague is very beautiful, I'm here for half a year and can't stop wondering how great Prague is! Most of all I like Charles Bridge, it is a treasure, a great beauty. The last time I visited Prague I stayed at the hotel at the western edge of the bridge. I liked it best early on a drizzly morning with few people around.
